DATA SHEET
Hardware search logic makes it possible to find a CE-ATA or MMC event in seconds Field replaceable interposer boards with ZIF connectors for CE-ATA and MMC connectors for native MMC Logic analysis in addition to protocol analysis in the same Bus Doctor; having these two critical functions in one compact unit save both valuable desktop space and money One interface for all bus types means learn a single GUI for testing all bus types supported by Finisar Bus Doctor Analyzers including CE-ATA, ATA, SCSI, SATA, Firewire (IEEE1394), Cardbus, Compact Flash, PCMCIA, PCI/X and USB The RX may be combined with other RX Analyzers to perform multi-analysis on several buses simultaneously to ensure interoperability between multiple bus types

Protocol, Timing and Statistical Analysis for Consumer Electronics and Computing Design and Test
According to a recent Gartner/Dataquest report, shipments of sub 1 inch drives for non-PC markets are expected to grow from 40 million units in 2005 to 146 million units by 2009. The application areas fueling this growth are digital media players, digital recorders, digital audio players such as the wildly popular iPod from Apple Computers, and multi-media cellular phones such as the ones recently developed by leading mobile telephone manufacturers. CE-ATA is a new storage protocol initiated by the CE-ATA standard committee to address this new emerging market. Utilizing the proven MMC physical interface and a subset of the ATA protocol, CE-ATA is optimized for mobile power and performance; these are factors critical in mobile consumer electronic applications. Without a CE-ATA protocol analyzer, storage, silicon, and design engineers will find working with this new storage technology challenging. Figure 1: Bus Doctor CE-ATA Protocol Analyzer (not to scale)
