BENEFITS
DATA SHEET
Hardware search logic makes it possible to find a SD, SDIO, CE-event in seconds In-line, non-intrusive capture and analysis Low-cost, field replaceable interposer boards with SD/MMC connectors for native MMC and SD/SDIO saves money and time Logic analysis and protocol analysis in the same Bus Doctor?two critical functions in one compact unit saves both valuable desktop space and money One interface for all bus types?learn a single GUI to test all bus types supported by Finisar Bus Doctor Analyzers, including CE-ATA, ATA, SCSI, SATA, Firewire (IEEE1394), Cardbus, Compact Flash, PCMCIA, PCI/X, and USB The Bus Doctor RX may be combined with other RX Analyzers to perform multianalysis on several buses simultaneously, ensuring interoperability between multiple bus types
BUS DOCTOR SD/SDIO ANALYZER
Protocol, Timing and Statistical Analysis for Consumer Electronics and Computing Design and Test
The Bus Doctor? RX SD/SDIO protocol analyzer allows storage, silicon, and design engineers working with this technology to capture, decode and analyze bus states, command tokens, and response tokens, and to measure bus performance. The Bus Doctor?s interface is intuitive and employs the Bus Doctor legendary easy-to-use GUI software, making it the ideal analyzer for anyone developing SD/SDIO hosts, devices, drivers, and consumer electronic products.
BUS DOCTOR RX
The Bus Doctor RX from Finisar is a powerful, modular bus-protocol analyzer with advanced features, such as trace buffers as large as 4.6 GBs and 4 nanosecond capture resolution. The Bus Doctor RX is able to analyze SD/SDIO technology as well as other consumer electronics and computing protocols. By connecting a MC (Memory Card) Pod fitted with a SD/MMC interposer board to a SD/SDIO system consisting of a host and drive, the RX becomes a dedicated SD/SDIO protocol analyzer. The analyzer operates at the SD/SDIO data widths of x1 and x4 and supports filtering, capturing and triggering of SD and SDIO events. The analyzer is controlled by a Microsoft Windows? PC through a USB connection. Finisar?s powerful Bus Doctor Graphical User Interface (GUI) CE 4.2 software runs on the PC (see Figure 2). The software provides an easy-to-use interface that allows engineers to configure the instrument and to view and analyze captured SD or SDIO information.
